Description
Continuing toward Procchio, just where the coastal road narrows and clings to the cliffs, lies the white-pebbled beach of Crocetta—also known as “dell’Anime.” Framed by dark rocks to the east and bright ones to the west, this secluded cove offers a striking contrast between crystal-clear water, stone, and vegetation.
The beach takes its name from a small church hidden along an ancient path that once connected Portoferraio before the modern coastal road was built after World War II.
Due to its beauty and vivid sea tones, “l’Anime” is one of the most photographed beaches on Elba. It’s not easily accessible—you’ll need to descend a long staircase carved between the rocks after passing a narrow section of road—but the reward is a corner of untouched nature just minutes from town.
Peace reigns here: though traffic flows just above, its sound never reaches the large white stones, rocks, and sea below, leaving the beach in surreal silence.
